Australia: Sydney

Places & Sights: Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge;  Royal Botanic Garden; Doyles at Watsons Bay: It’s a famous small chain in Sydney that’s a bit passé to Aussies now, but it’s good fun to get the boat to the restaurant (from Circular Quay) walk across the sand to your table, eat, hike round the heads – check out The Gap Lookout – watch sun down over the harbour, taxi back. Surry Hill; Bondi Beach: Walk the two-mile coastal Bondi-to-Bronte; Potts Point; Paddington for all the shops

Day trips: Manly Beach; Hunter Valley (nice vineyards are Brokenwood, McGuigan Brothers); Blue Mountains (lots of beautiful views and lovely country restaurants and stay at One&Only Wolgan Valley; Blueys with a stop at Heatherbrae Pies about 2hrs in.
